LIL’ EXPLORERS ( 3 years - Entering Kindergarten) LOCATIONS:     Oakhurst North Forest Preserve OR Les Arends Forest Preserve 1680 Fifth Ave. • Aurora   Route 31 north of Mooseheart Rd. • Batavia   Our friendly Lil’ Explorers Camp will provide your child an unforgettable introduction to the outdoors and camp experience while playing with friends their own age. Campers will be able to interact with nature through nature walks, camp songs, crafts and games during this half-day experience. Parents are welcome to join their child and camp staff each week at our parent/child participation event to celebrate the camp week. Get ready to hear the kids sing timeless camp songs. Camp staff goes through an extensive training focused on safety and ability to interact with young children. We maintain a 1:6 ratio. Each child will receive one T-shirt. Additional T-shirts are available for a fee. Oakhurst Forest Preserve has a large grass area, mature trees, a pond and two pavilions for shade and shelter. Oakhurst Forest Preserve is located off McCoy Ave. just behind the Oakhurst subdivision. The Les Arends Forest Preserve has a beautiful pavilion, playground, walking trails and a stream running through it to give your child a wonderful outdoor experience. It is located on Rt. 25 just north of downtown North Aurora.  Morning care and rainy day care is at New Hope Lutheran Church (right next to the North Aurora Public Library).
