Arts/Crafts/Games Site Volunteer
Supervisor: Program Director
Prerequisites:

Must be at least 18 years of age
·
Must attend YMCA University
·
When working on long term projects, must attend First
Aid/CPR and Child Abuse Prevention trainings and commit to a regular
schedule as determined with the Program Director

General/Specific Responsibilities:
The
volunteer will visit one or more Safe ‘n Sound after school
sites to lead an art/craft project or a group game/activity.
The volunteer will be given the supplies needed.

Skill Development and Progression:
1.
For volunteers interested in becoming paid staff, meet with
Program Director to develop a course of action
Program Development:
1.
Assist in the implementation of innovative activities.
2.
Support the mission and philosophy of the YMCA and reflect
these principles in your actions and promotion of all YMCA programs.
Effect on End Results:
Volunteers will be an integral part of bringing quality programs
to YMCA participants while adhering to the principles and
purpose of the YMCA mission, thus building strong kids, strong
families, and strong communities.
